The Children's Choir invites your child to learn more about the Lord through music. Come sing with us!
The Children's Dance Ministry provides children and youth with an opportunity to exemplify Christ through creative expressions of praise and worship and to glorify God through movement.
A Handbell Choir for her church was the dream of Mrs. Christine King Farris who encourage the purchase of handbells in 1984. The Handbell Ministry began with a Youth Handbell Choir and in 1985, the Adult Handbell Choir was formed. In 2004, the Handbell Choirs were named in honor of Mrs. Farris. The purpose of the Handbell Ministry is to provide music to enhance the worship experience of our church family and friends; participate in special church services as requested; and participate in the Collaborative Churches Handbell Christmas Concert. Currently, the Handbell Ministry is composed of a beginning and an advanced handbell choir. There are 19 handbell ringers. We are fortunate to have several former members who serve as substitutes when needed.
The Church Choir ministers musically on the first Sundays (Communion Sundays) each month. Choir members also serve in the Celebration Choir with other Ebenezer Choir members during Easter, Christmas, and other special occasions. Members have traveled nationally and internationally representing Ebenezer and serving with excellence and humble submission to the Glory of God. The Choir welcomes new singers to join during any choir rehearsal meeting.
The EBC Drama Ministry uses storytelling to win soul's for Christ. The Bible is our source of inspiration to develop plays, skits and/or worship expressions to reach all audiences. Our ultimate God is to share how God can transform your life through a parable and a contemporary story, song, dance, mime and musical instruments. We take biblical and contemporary stories and hope that you will see God through our words, expressions and emotions. Through drama, God can show up in the middle of the story and speak directly to your heart. While we audition for various roles and speaking parts, we are not performance-driven. Our focus is to give God the glory and to draw others closer to Him in our journey to the Cross.
The Ebenezer Instrumental Ensemble, the orchestral component of the Worship & Arts Ministry of the Ebenezer Baptist Church, is humbled and honored to share their "praised-filled" repertoire of soulful praise band music this evening. The ensemble, also known as the "EIE" under the direction of the "Maestro," Robert L. Bryant, Jr., is one of the most intergenerational ministries at the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, having members as young as middle school age and as distinguished as retired grandparents!
The Men’s Chorus of Ebenezer Baptist Church is a highly acclaimed choral group of Christian, Spirit-filled Men that was formed in the early 1980’s. In 1985, this singing aggregate was officially renamed The J. L. Roberts, Jr. Men’s Chorus in honor of our then Senior Pastor, and now Pastor Emeritus Rev. Dr. Joseph L. Roberts, Jr. Under the spirited and talented leadership of Director Maurice Seay for nearly 30 years, The Men’s Chorus has developed a diverse musical repertoire of spirituals, anthems, and traditional and contemporary gospel. The Chorus is characterized by its passion for excellence, its dedication to spirituality, its stirring musicality, and its strong spirit of brotherhood and unity, which provides the foundation of its singular commitment and focus - singing to the Glory of God.
The Liturgical Dance Ministry includes children, youth, young adults, and adults who combine their gifts to worship God through movement. This ministry serves to develop members to become powerful instruments to express and exude presence of God.
The M.L. King Choir consists of women and men who are dedicated to ministry through music and song. Participants of this ministry enjoy the opportunity to worship through songs of traditional and contemporary Gospel music.
